Workshops

I truly believe creating art can bring joy and power to all

Upcoming workshops

I create relaxed, yet fun sessions for all to help get you out of your head to be free to embrace your artistic journey! No experience is required and all our welcome from novice to expert.

I get signing up to something you’ve never done before can be a little daunting, especially when it’s something ‘creative’ and you don’t know what to expect or what’s expected of you. So here’s a little more info to help you work out if you’d like to give it a go.

Each session will be focussed around a specific style and medium. Starting with warm up sketches to loosen up our hands and brain, first drawings are quickly done to help banish that very normal workshop apprehension or art anxiety.

After a quick break where food can usually be purchased, we’ll get back to doing and I’ll teach you some techniques , guiding you in some longer, more detailed pieces.

Timings are 6.45pm-9pm and are priced at £35 each which inc. a glass of fizz or soft drink. All materials are also covered. Discounts are available for booking more than one workshop.

Business workshops

I provide private bespoke art workshops for corporates and business, groups of friends, parties and events. An art workshop is the perfect way to bring colleagues and friends together, step away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday and spend some mindful time connecting with the here and now. Whether for fun, team building, mindfulness or something else, I will work with you to produce a bespoke workshop specific to your needs. If you’re interested in knowing more, please contact me at

Kate came to The Ark to do an Art Workshop with our parents. She came a few weeks before, to see the space and chat through the type of workshop that might work. We decided to have it outside, and to draw The Ark itself. It was a small, intimate group of parents and grandparents who had come for a relaxed and focused session.

Kate absolutely delivered! She understood the needs of our parents (with several children running around too), knowing that some might need a moment away from the session too. The relaxed style, with parents being gently guided, meant that they each created something unique and beautiful that they were all intensely proud of.

Several parents commented on how great and peaceful it was, giving them time to focus just on their art, rather than all the other things happening in their lives – a truly treasured space for our parents, who simply don’t often get this time.
